Renewals, upgrades, and overdue invoices

Keep services active and understand renewals, upgrades, refunds, and overdue invoices.

Billing

Keep billing aligned with the service lifecycle

Renewals, upgrades, billing-period changes, wallet autopay, and overdue invoices all affect whether a service continues without interruption.

Plan ahead

Use renewal, upgrade, billing-change, and autopay controls before a service reaches a deadline. Missed invoices can affect service continuity.

Renewals, upgrades, refunds, and overdue lifecycle

Once a service is live, billing becomes part of normal service management. The portal shows renewal options, upgrade paths, billing-period changes, autopay settings, and overdue invoice state for supported services.

What customers can manage

  • Renewal options and renewal checkout for supported services.
  • Upgrade options and upgrade checkout where the product exposes an upgrade path.
  • Billing-period change options and related checkout flows where supported.
  • Wallet-based autopay settings on supported services.
  • Payment of overdue invoices before enforcement goes further.
  • Service cancellation flows where the service type supports customer cancellation.

Upgrade handling

Where upgrade paths exist, you can review available options and complete checkout for the new tier or resource profile.

Renewal and billing changes

Renewals are not the same thing as upgrades. Renewals keep the service running on the current plan. Billing changes adjust the billing period or related billing settings on supported services. Keeping these actions separate makes invoices easier to understand later.

Autopay and wallet behavior

The portal supports autopay from wallet balance on supported services. This can reduce missed renewals, but it still depends on having enough wallet balance at the right time.

Credits, refunds, and reversals

Refunds and related adjustments should be treated as formal billing events, not silent corrections. The current billing model clearly tracks refunded states, and some cancellation or reversal flows return value to wallet balance instead of hiding the financial change.

Overdue lifecycle

If an invoice remains unpaid, the service can enter an overdue path that may affect continuity according to policy. Billing ownership matters as much as service ownership because overdue handling is part of the service lifecycle.

A safer way to run this

  • Track due dates and wallet balance as part of service ownership.
  • Decide who approves renewals, upgrades, and billing changes before the service reaches a deadline.
  • Use checkout flows instead of informal billing changes.
  • Escalate disputed invoices early so the service team does not discover billing issues after the service is already at risk.
